In all seriousness, the problems with money in our political system are amplified in moments of national crisis: Megadonors get the opportunity to tell the president how public health measures impact their stock portfolio, while those in need do not receive that type of access.
Our democracy is out-of-balance when wealthy special interests have disproportionate access to our political leaders. We need to make our democracy more inclusive and meaningfully advance the First Amendment rights of all Americans to participate in the political process.
