1. Yes, this is BS and should not stand. 2. But the Republicans are not just perfectly fine allowing it -- giving up a shot at Clinton to do it means it's key to their electoral strategy.
The Clinton campaign created a loophole in campaign finance law, and the @FEC's Republican commissioners allowed it to get away with it.
