#FOI tweeps, if someone says they want 20 more days to do a public interest test, but you know they've already done it, what can you do?
@miss_mcinerney Complain that the extension is not "reasonable in the circumstances". What was the outcome last time?

@CampaignFoI Last time there was an assumption of engagement, then a sample test for redaction, then a rejection under S14.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@CampaignFoI I've limited request. 21 days later S14 not mentioned but now seem to need extra time for consideration of S36. -
@miss_mcinerney@CampaignFoI S36 requires a qualified person's opinion (a Minister) as well as PI test. This is what will be causing delay. -
@AmateurFOI@CampaignFoI So you can move to S14 on basis of S36 redactions *without* a qualified person? -
@miss_mcinerney@CampaignFoI If S36 claimed then must be a qualified person's opinion. From what you've said it seems S14 been dropped & now -
@miss_mcinerney@CampaignFoI considering S36. Sadly Authorities can rely on different exemptions late in the day. If you think they are -
@miss_mcinerney@CampaignFoI taking too long complain to ICO but from what you've said it sounds like they are following rules -
@AmateurFOI@miss_mcinerney Just re-read decisions. If only s36 now in play, FTT comment that it would have agreed with IC on PI helpful. -
@CampaignFoI@AmateurFOI This isn't about free schools sadly - I would be on safer grounds with that one.

@CampaignFoI@miss_mcinerney Public interest balance could have shifted in the interim though. -
@bainesy1969@CampaignFoI Agree in theory. But it's a static issue, and all of 4 weeks ago. -
@miss_mcinerney@CampaignFoI Fair point. But I suspect they'll argue they're entitled to reassess on this basis.
