#FOI tweeps, if someone says they want 20 more days to do a public interest test, but you know they've already done it, what can you do?

@miss_mcinerney Complain that the extension is not "reasonable in the circumstances". What was the outcome last time?

@CampaignFoI Last time there was an assumption of engagement, then a sample test for redaction, then a rejection under S14.

@CampaignFoI I've limited request. 21 days later S14 not mentioned but now seem to need extra time for consideration of S36.

@miss_mcinerney @CampaignFoI S36 requires a qualified person's opinion (a Minister) as well as PI test. This is what will be causing delay.

@AmateurFOI @CampaignFoI So you can move to S14 on basis of S36 redactions *without* a qualified person?

@miss_mcinerney @CampaignFoI If S36 claimed then must be a qualified person's opinion. From what you've said it seems S14 been dropped & now

@miss_mcinerney @CampaignFoI considering S36. Sadly Authorities can rely on different exemptions late in the day. If you think they are

@AmateurFOI @miss_mcinerney Just re-read decisions. If only s36 now in play, FTT comment that it would have agreed with IC on PI helpful.
