BBC America, to be fair. They have form, this is exactly what they did to Dirk Gently as well. They got away with that because Dirk Gently is relatively obscure and the source material and background material is fairly thin. Not so much with Discworld.

Exactly what I thought when I saw the stills for the show. His daughter Rihanna is supposed to be protecting the legacy. Not sure she succeeded here
