I’m pretty sure she didn’t, like not even close. She appeased to mob because they forcefully occupied her city, but occupiers just lost power to the populace who started to sue the city and get disgusted with the shootings. She is still just appeasing the imminent threat atm

Honestly, I think this is how it had to happen. The alternative that many were calling for would require the national guard coming into a city where it wasn't wanted, ordered by a president they hated, and forcing their will on armed occupiers. No way for that to end well.

I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing 1968 Mayor Daley kind of spine with this one.
