Considering the funding available is £440m then £17.8m sounds a bit meek. Considering Scotland is by far the most rural and rugged of placeshttps://twitter.com/HolyroodDaily/status/811918262829248512 …

Taylor added,
Not to mention the amount of Scottish business' that are based in the more rural parts of Scotland (Whisky, tourism etc).
UKGov knows its approach has failed rural so announces Gainshare money that's already known about & the media buy it #fakeSanta
so money was already in pipeline and not the "extra spending boost" being quoted?
Gainshare money is part of phase 2 currently being modelled and due to complete by end 2017. Not aware of any new money here.
Maybe England is different as BDUK scheme has an earlier finish so money was not planned? #tryingtobegenerous
and what about share? £18m out of £440m, for what is the most rugged and difficult place to install
just highlights another flawed aspect of contracts. Lucky we have ScotGov focused on connectivity and with more ambition
thanks Calum for taking the time to respond to my daft wee questions ;) Merry Christmas!
