Is 10M download enough? Happy/care if given to BT to deliver? Should there be voucher alternative? How often should speed be reviewed?https://twitter.com/calumkerrsnp/status/807934164972539904 …

10M is not enough. Only BT have the capability. Vouchers are free market nonsense. Universal fibre makes that Q irrelevant.

thanks for thoughts, agree with most of (vouchers for USO are a good idea). Agree need more political ambition on connectivity.

vouchers assume there's a functioning market. There isn't, there won't ever be.

vouchers would help for community schemes and strong evidence they worked where used in past by BDUK.

100% of BDUK bids have been won by BT. We shouldn't need "community schemes". Universal connectivity should mean what it says.

It's not a negative, but over-hyping such schemes licenses people to ignore the need for a real long term national solution.

They're not mutually exclusive to me. Parallel tracks to same destination. Both being pursued.

One problem is probably BT spends too much time playing defence against Virgin etc re: Ofcom to be honest with politicians...
