Is 10M download enough? Happy/care if given to BT to deliver? Should there be voucher alternative? How often should speed be reviewed?https://twitter.com/calumkerrsnp/status/807934164972539904 …

10M is not enough. Only BT have the capability. Vouchers are free market nonsense. Universal fibre makes that Q irrelevant.

thanks for thoughts, agree with most of (vouchers for USO are a good idea). Agree need more political ambition on connectivity.

vouchers assume there's a functioning market. There isn't, there won't ever be.

vouchers would help for community schemes and strong evidence they worked where used in past by BDUK.

100% of BDUK bids have been won by BT. We shouldn't need "community schemes". Universal connectivity should mean what it says.

preference is universal FTTH but not happening soon. Vouchers empower communities to use 10M USO to do https://b4rn.org.uk

It's not a negative, but over-hyping such schemes licenses people to ignore the need for a real long term national solution.

I get 4Mb (ADSL) in rural Aberdeenshire. OK for one netflix stream in SD, but looks like minecraft if someone else goes online

@StuieDonaldson So, 10Mb would be v. limiting for a typical household. Should aim for 20-30Mb minimum to benefit from HD/4K

agree. ScotGov aiming for universal 24-30M. UKGov looking like 10M, so no help on this.
