Theresa May and her government haven't had the best of weeks, have they?
May's current favourite phrase: 'the government's position' - keep an ear out for it.

Great stuff. Don’t see why you still want independence though and another divisive vote for Scotland but that’s your choice.

Thanks Jeremy
IMO, UKgov & Scotgov are on vastly divergent paths...the last few months have shown how happy UKgov is to ignore the Scottish Parliament, despite how damaging Brexit will be.1 reply 1 retweet 2 likes -

Yeah but even given the current shambles I believe opinion is still around 50-50 for independence. Would you really want to divide the country and make such a massive change based on such a close call? Surely min 80% for independence shd be required.

It's at 50-50 before a date has been announced, started off much lower than that before the 2014 ref. Being in the union right now feels like UKgov is one of those pals that ignores you 90% of the time, and only gets in touch when they want something.

Not really. 80% bit high but didn’t SNP try and suggest 60% threshold for Brexit? Sure they did I vaguely remember.

Ok let you off
. I read it in the article below but read incorrectly, merging the line about 60% requirements in Canadian provinces with the next line about the SNP proposal...https://constitution-unit.com/2017/11/28/referendums-in-uk-democracy-how-should-they-work-in-practice/ …1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
