At 30fps it's 42 frames long :) A tiny bit longer than what I usually do, I tend to do vanilla walks around half a second per step.

Yeah, games usually run at 30fps or a multiple of it, so everyone usually animates at 30. When games run at 60fps or a higher frame rate, game engines use interpolation to fill in the frames.

You probably would have been fine if the animations you did were not on game ready rigs and would never be inserted into a game engine, best to do it at 30 though if you are doing a reel for games :)

24 frames a second is only used in film. It's outdated and kind of silly at this point since no one watches films at 24 fps because films aren't printed to actual film anymore. When you're watching a movie on Netflix or cable it's all converting to 30 fps even if created at 24.

Yeah, as far as I know it's all still 24fps in feature. The real bummer is that the process of conversion, called three-two pull down, actually hurts the feeling of animation because it creates interlaced frames to make up the missing 6 frames.
