I really hope this Maya license change isn't true. So many people are gonna lose access for learning :( I'll probably wont be able to make any personal work again once my educational license is gone.

Oh I noticed this recently when reinstalling Maya at home for the lockdown. Now they ask for proof of study which was a faff. Hardly fool proof to submit a simple student photo ID but it seems such an unnecessary step that will deter home learners.
It's definitely gonna be a massive pain for people doing online courses and grads still working on their portfolio. I worry for people who are looking for work, they suddenly can't work on improving their portfolio cause they are locked out of the software :(
