The difference between the same animation file in Maya 2018 and Maya 2019 on the same piece of hardware. Slight increase in frame rate in 2019, but Cached Playback helped really get the playback running smooth. Good stuff @tjgaldapic.twitter.com/J5IIAKturr

This is fascinating. I’d like to know a little more about this as I am in the market for a new animation setup & I wanna have the best Maya experience I can!! Is this bc of Maya 2019 in & of itself? Does this have to do with a computer’s memory or RAM to cause such a difference??

2019 has viewport caching now so it speeds up scrubbing BIG time. Not sure what specs are needed to capitalize on it.
