I only have anecdotal evidence from a handful of channels under 10,000 subs. We've all noticed better SEO on our monetized content. Team Youtube has flatly denied this so maybe I'm mistaken, but an Xbar and r chart of view counts shows a correlation.
I can also vouch for this. Vids that have ads on them (even simple banner ads) for me do better in the search bar than ads that don't have ads or have them disabled. Age-Gated videos are even worse. Obviously directly sharing the links to them is a different story but it's bad
