    An absolute insidious and standard affair for the NYT to peddle this red scare, yellow peril nonsense. To westerners, propaganda is this mystic plot by "authoritarian" regimes. It sounds more exciting/scary than it really is because everything in relation to politics...

    It is amusing how the western media was able to spin Tiananmen's Tank Man as some sort of heroic resistor fighting against the oppressive CPC... When (1) he was never harmed, and (2) if someone tried doing that in the U.S, then they'd be dead before they would get 10 meters near.
