On Friday, June 23, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., it is believed a pick-up truck pulling a utility trailer was travelling east on Savanna Boulevard N.E.

At the same time, it is believed the victim was riding an e-scooter along Savanna Boulevard N.E., in the same direction as the pick-up truck when he was struck near the intersection of Savanna Gardens N.E.

The driver of the truck did not stop or remain at the scene.

At the time, Good Samaritans assisted the boy as he walked home, where EMS later arrived. Since then, the boy’s condition has deteriorated, and he is now in serious condition and remains in hospital.

Investigators are looking to identify the suspect vehicle which is described as a newer-model, blue Dodge Ram which was towing a black trailer at the time of the incident.

Multiple firearms, ammunition, 3D printers & drugs have been seized as part of a co-ordinated approach to target individuals linked to the manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms across #Canada.

As a result, the following items were seized:

❌ Three 3D printers and corresponding filament
❌ Seven 3D-printed receivers
❌ One fully complete 3D-printed firearm
❌ Five rifles
❌ Three airsoft rifles
❌ Multiple rounds and types of ammunition
❌ 1.3 kilograms of powder and crack cocaine

The investigation in Calgary remains ongoing & charges are pending. Additional details will be released once charges are laid.

🚔 Recently one of our officers stopped a Chevy Silverado travelling 157 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone on Stoney Trail. As a result, the driver was charged with refusal to provide a breath sample, speeding & driving while suspended. The vehicle was seized. 🚫 Don’t drink & drive 🚫

The truck had 5 occupants & the officer observed the driver attempt to swap seats with one of the passengers.

📌 The driver was charged with refusal to provide a breath sample, speeding & driving while suspended under Immediate Roadside Sanctions. The vehicle was seized.

If you choose to drink alcohol or use drugs, plan a safe ride home. Arrange a designated driver, call a taxi, or rideshare, or use public transit.
