Many people who lost employer sponsored health care are “out of luck” because they live in states that didn’t expand Medicaid. This includes NC. It’s not okay—and it's why I've called for a Medicaid expansion incentive in the next COVID-19 aid package.

Medicaid expansion is only 138% of the poverty line. The majority of the millions who have lost their health insurance will have to buy ACA plans which will be tough to afford since NC only pays 12 weeks of unemployment. Only Flordia is as cruel as NC is to the unemployed.
