I’m one of the few people that has actually had both NYC bbq and Texas bbq and I’m telling you Mighty Quinn’s in NYC is better than Texas bbq.

NO - BUT I WILL TRY IT AND COME BACK TO THIS THREAD AND YOU WILL BE SORRY.
@josh_hammer I'm sorry that you had to see this blasphemy in your timeline. -
Yashar, it’s so good.

Ok, I live 5 blocks from the UES Mighty Quinn’s but I’m so passionate about BBQ that my friends took me on a BBQ tour of Texas for my bachelor party. Franklin and other elite Texas places are better than MQ, but MQ is better than standard Texas BBQ imo

I actually have had Mighty Quinn’s. It’s fine. But you very clearly have just not had the right Texas BBQ.

No, but NYC is hundreds (if not thousands) of miles from where quality beef and the proper type of oak come from, so it stands to reason that it can't compare to barbecue from Texas.
-
Also, Austin has better Pastrami than Manhattan. Suck it.

I live two blocks from it. It’s solid (for NYC), but your review of, and comparison to TX bbq is trash.

Mighty Quinn's is really good, but it is based on Texas BBQ.
