Some of this is pretty basic. Don’t need to be a doc or economist. If you shut down the economy for months, the result is a depression. If you give people a medicine that’s been used for decades and their condition improves, then maybe the medication works.

I dunno, when the expert class so totally failed to prepare for this, it seems legitimate that ordinary people facing mass death form their own opinions on medicine, and facing financial ruin form opinions on economics.
