Tonight has been so refreshing for the world of politics.

Yo Caleb, the point should be that this never should have happened to begin with.
-
No. But it did and he apologized. It’s a great bi-partisan moment. Ed, we all makes mistakes. It’s how we deal with them that shows our true character. Have a great weekend brother

-
Ryan, but you can’t help but wonder what drove this apology. Was it for ratings or pressure on NBC? I hope that it was genuine but who knows.
-
I’ll go with Morals. Crenshaw & Davidson both handled the situation great & I do think it was sincere. (Davidson lost his father to 9/11 so he gets it). He just made a mistake when he picked on Crenshaw’s patch. The Ariana Grande ringtone shade was pretty funny - Humour Helps.
-
It’s hard to believe him though and you can blame SNL for that. I don’t believe that their biased comedy helps the country.
-
How about, instead of playing the blame game, we just accept the apology (like Crenshaw did), move on and enjoy the freedom our Vets afforded us. I hope you enjoy your Veteran’s Day, Ed
-
Thanks you too. But as someone whose father and uncles served during WWII, I did find his act offensive.
-
Do you find it more offensive that trump dissed on all vets yesterday while being 90 mins away from a world wide event to honor vets? i see that as a way bigger offense. serious question. not trying to be rude.

I would watch SNL if they displayed more bipartisanship like this in the future. Kudos to Pete and congressman elect Crenshaw!
-
I completely agree, SNL can be funny, I liked it once, but it's so so so heavily one sided that it's not fun to watch. Respect to Davidson for him apologizing, but mad props to Crenshaw, man he's a cool dude!
-
Honestly, from a comedy standpoint, Obama wasn't funny. Bush and Clinton were characters in themselves and SNL had a good long run with them. Trump is definitely among them, so by comparison, 8 years of nothing with Obama to now does seem rather one-sided. Imagine if Bernie won.
-
I see your point but they wouldn't go as hard into Bernie as they did into trump. They went as hard into trump as you could go - while they'd probably would've gone lightly into Bernie, still harsher than Obama, but definitely not as harsh as trump.
-
No politician out there on either side of the aisle would have kept serving the jokes on a silver platter the way Trump has. And, for those who haven’t watched SNL since 1979, they routinely destroyed him in the late 80’s and early 90’s when he was identifying as a Democrat.
-
Yeah, Trump provides more material in 1 week than most politicians do in an entire year. But SNL went in pretty hard on Bill Clinton too back in the 90's.
-
They literally joked around about him eating quarter pounders at McDonald's. Find me multiple Clinton/Lewinsky skits, and you might have a point there. (They could exist but i doubt it) SNL has historically been harder on conservative politicians than liberal ones.
-
That you posted this fairly well confirms that you never watched SNL in the 90’s. Molly Shannon played Lewinsky about 15 times in two years. John Goodman as Linda Tripp, Phil Hartman as Clinton...none of this ringing any bells?

Now compare Crenshaw to microaggressions and safe spaces on our college campuses.
-
No such thing as microaggressions or safe spaces.
