@rebeccagberg is making a good point, just not the one she's intending.
To her, and others in the MSM, it's "news" that the GOP is actively denouncing violent rhetoric by many on the left. For some reason, it's not "news" that Democrats are calling for violence and incivility.
Originally she posted Holders comments as an example of the dichotomy between certain Dems who are running on angry/ violent language and others who aren’t she then pointed out that the GOP is using those who are using violent language as campaign material what’s the issue?
Stop being obtuse, Caleb. Read better. The tweet was part of a series... the first noted the extreme comment, the second contrasted it with other Dems who are preaching positive messaging over hate and anger, and the third notes the GOP response. You're smarter than this. Sheesh.
And it might make you feel better about claiming moral high ground, but, sorry, constantly "denouncing" vile comments by pols isn't a journalist's job. If it was, reporters in war zones or covering morally contentious issues (or Trump!) would run out of room to inform on content.
Liberals don't do that.
Oh geez, seriously! Rebecca is a good straightforward journalist. Maybe you should spend more time critiquing the divider in chiefs tweets.
