Alright folks, I need your help. Looking to get back into lifting/doing cardio 5 days a week. I need a bunch of healthy, easy to prepare meals as well as suggestions for workout schedules. I’m assuming there are apps/sites you all use for this so drop them below!

I think P90 (not P90x, the new P90) is supposed to be good.

Yeah it’s really good. Also X is great too. Anything Tony Horton puts out does the job.

5 days is a lot. Our bodies are smart and begin to adapt to our workouts. You need to recover and trick your body. HIIT workout 2-3 days a week. Maybe a run or 2 in between. Eat clean and lean. Portion control. Everything in moderation (alcohol and sugar). Good luck!

This is why everyone fails. I am going back to the gym 5 days a week!! I am going to change my diet completely!! Then after 3 days you miss one and you are all. Well hell with it, I missed 1 day may as well eat this giant candy bar and wash it down with a big gulp.

Google 5BX. A fitness program developed by Canada's RCAF in the 1960's. I've been following it for a year and am now doing 23 situps & 20 pushups daily at age 65.

Best workout you can get for the money (and it’s pricey) is Orange Theory Fitness. I’ve never worked out so hard in less than an hour in my life. I also invested in the South Beach diet that delivers meals and snacks. Awesome sugar re-set.

You should go for a free workout just to try it. I only workout to eat, drink, and look good naked. Never thought I’d really like it as much as I do. I’ve tried all the at home stuff, but the pull of the couch, dog, and cocktails was too strong!

Agree. OTF is the most efficient use of your time albeit pricey, it is effective. But you can’t outrun a poor diet. Lean protein + veggies, some fruit, healthy fats, nuts and seeds, waterwaterwater.

I miss my twenties when I didn’t have to worry about diet! Doing South Beach really helped me. I’m not perfect but it’s definitely a lifestyle change. Fun fact.... a glass of prosecco/champagne has 1carb and 70 Cals! Woo hoo!

Ripptoes Starting Strength. Ease into it. After 2 months start HIIT on off days. Start slow. Most important thing is habit building in beginning. Easy to burnout. Focus on mobility + technique. If you sit a lot you need to fix tight hip flexors and probably ankle dorselflexion.
