Caleb, both examples you give to knock @RealCandaceO are laughably wrong and easy to expose as wrong. You do this because you cant challenge her actual points. So you make it about her.
Mollie Tibbetts died because of one of the mostly hotly contested political issues of our time. Her death ABSOLUTELY should be used as an example and cautionary tale to address the problem and save other lives. That has nothing in common with politicizing a funeral. Laughable
I could not agree more. A memorial service is to's express to others how much you love them and will miss them. No more. All soapboxes should be left outside and grandstanding with an agenda is despicable. Are you there for self-promotion or to celebrate?
I assume those giving eulogies knew what McCain wanted at his own funeral.
He planned everything down to who would sing what and when. None of any service was ad lib.
Yep. "...when I asked him what he wanted me to do with this eulogy, he said 'Show them how tough you are.'" And she did. Her father was looking down on her with pride when she gave that eulogy. She was tough as nails.
. @SenJohnMcCain 's life was so political, an apolitical funeral would have been a political decision.
He wanted to send his country one last message in death. Those present mostly honoured him but also honoured his wishes.
You mean the girl that created a doxxing website and then lied about the doxxing website has no standards? Whaaaaaat?
I believe many people in the past, Greeks, Romans etc. used funerals as pulpits of all sorts.
And Abe Lincoln. I guess Candace thinks he should have been ashamed of himself. http://www.abrahamlincolnonline.org/lincoln/speeches/clay.htm …
Yes, we can't and don't have to make up the fact that there's a clear difference in these situations and you refuse to see it, to own some people or something.
Yes, one is someone who doesn't even know the deceased using that person's memory for political purposes over the objections of the deceased's family, the other is a daughter remembering her father and the values he stood for, which are not Trump's values.
