In reality, he’s been on the radar of the US govt since 2003 when he was stripped of his US citizenship, this is way before Ocasión-Cortez was somebody, but I do get the point you’re trying to get across.

Soooo ... ICE took some time out of their day from separating children from their parent to deport a NAZI, so ... evens? Deporting NAZIs sounds like a good idea. Illegally separating babies from sanctuary seeking mothers, not a good idea.

Asylum seekers have to present at a port of entry. This is actually not hard. Sneaking into a foreign country with a kid is not something you do unless you are truly stupid. These are not stupid people. They are people hoping to evade the law and putting children at risk.
