unless, of course, you're translating it from the original hebrew. thou shalt not commit murderhttps://twitter.com/CalebJHull/status/1025001130173112320 …

Every translation besides KJ says "murder" to my knowledge. OK version was made with an older English where the word "kill" meant the same as murder whereas today we have 2 different words

And the murderer doesn’t attack human dignity?

The Bible supports both sides. Whatever side you stand on this issue, you will find a verse to support your argument...

Interpretations do. That’s why you need an authority.

Kinda hard to flip through the Bible and come to the conclusion that God doesn't like himself some good old capital punishment

Is this guy the worse Pope ever or what???? There’s probably about 200 million Muslims that would love to decapitate you (and that’s a conservative estimate). None of them would deserve the death penalty for decapitating any catholic????

Read Christopher Hitchens, and watch his debates, very enlightening!

Yeah, it actually does depending on your narrative, it also contradicts itself multiple times. Reason; it’s made up!

So there has never been another version outside of King James?
-
Do different translations mean different message?
-
Versions existed prior to the king James. Other gospels exist that were omitted from the final version. Point is, men have changed the construction of the Bible.
-
That didn’t answer my question.
-
I would say it did, naturally.
-
It didn’t. Do different translations of scripture actually alter the meaning of scripture? Does the stance of grace, justice, or consequence change from KJV to NIV to Message? You just told me about the exclusion of some “gospels”. Which calling them that is a stretch
