I would be very curious to see how you define “irrelevant” in this case. They’re been an incredibly relevant group of voters.

You completely missed the content of her post. Candace is saying their vote is taken for granted by Democrats. And Ignored by Republicans because they always vote Dem. en mass. That was her use of "irrelevant"
-
That’s literally not what irrelevant means.
-
You literally got blasted by
@RealCandaceO for putting words in her mouth. Then you decide to debate about the meaning of irrelevant. You are the reason people are opening their eyes@calebjhull, so thank you. - 1 more reply

13% of US population didn’t get Obama elected. It was the rest of us who stupidly (and naively) also voted for him. No more

You can't be this dumb. She used the term irrelevant in the sense that Dems and Reps don't fight for the black vote because they vote 90% democrat even if Dems fail them. Their vote will be valued if they stopped automatically voting for the same party.
-
Oh, he is obviously that dumb

They've been solely in support of dems for decades. If that changes, dems will have to work to get the votes of black people.
-
What have they done to keep it?

@RealCandaceO, let me have a stab at this one: Hey dummy, the reason the black vote hasn't been relevant in decades is because they could ALWAYS be counted on to vote Democrat. Now that tide is turning and liberals will actually have to work for those votes.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I took it to mean ignored. As in Dems just take it for granted that they will get the black vote and ignore, and Rs assume it is a lost cause and dont reach out. But now they are actually in play.

Well it seems a lot of dem candidates want to make illegal immigrants a more relevant minority - so the African American voters are either doing better than ever (and needing less govt support) or the Dems are okay with illegal immigrants taking housing, welfare, etc from them?

Are you in support of every single democratic candidate purely bc of them being democrats? Party shouldn’t define who you vote for, it doesn’t for me. I would vote for a great candidate on either side
