Youth politics: a thread

Respectfully Caleb, a soft answer that carries truth and spoken respectfully has the power to change someone’s mind. It’s just that you see very few people that have the character to contact conversation in this manner. God bless you.

Not necessarily so. I've been educated a bunch on Twitter by people who post thoughtful, well-sourced, well-considered arguments. I may not be the norm, but I have found others who also practice restraint. (PS. Note "practice." Not always successful because yay! human.)

I well know that minds won't be changed by Twitter; nonetheless some things have become clearer to me: 1)
@iamfonda and his supporters and backers must surely advocate for child pedophilia. No question.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I agree. But, if you don’t confront them, many of these people think the whole world agrees with them. They don’t realize they are the useful idiots in the texts of the liberal class. They’re more interested in watching other people make a living than making a living themselves.

You might not change their minds, but maybe you can raise their awareness on a topic - telling them something they'll never hear on CNN or MSNBC

Fonda succeeded with changing my mind. I now know he is as big a douche bag as his trader sister.

You the man Caleb! Proud of you sir. Takes a big man to admit he could’ve done things differently.

Good for you! You know, if we would all converse on Twitter & Facebook as if the person is in the room with us, we might just have better conversations. Note that most of us older folks do that more; from early habits.

Minds won’t be changed but hearts will be defended.

All of us regret our actions at some point, but sticking up for what those were, goes further then, backing down.

No what Twitter does is show like minded people, they are not alone. The right has been cut off almost all legacy media.
