Will wait. I mean like....waiting.

Do you seriously think all 2000 illegally crossing the border that have been seperated are asking for legitimate asylum? If they go to point of entry and ask for "asylum" they are not separated....only if they illegally cross and then ask for "asylum" when caught

It would be nice if more people acknowledged that in some situations, they are literally taking anyone with brown skin or speaking Spanish without knowing if they’re documented or not. Traumatize first, research later. It’s not okay.

As a Brit I find it ironic that you support separating families because they want a better life in another country surely that’s the foundations of Americans that aren’t of indigenous descent ?
-
I don’t support separating families as much as the next guy, but there are legal ways in order to pursue a better life for your family. As rigid as it is, the law is the law

I _always_ stop reading as soon as I see BUT, it's a really cool trick to stop people trying to defend really disgusting behaviour

This sounds very un-American, wasn’t modern America founded on going to a country and staying there ?pic.twitter.com/cPUy3q0iGk

If they did break the law it’s a misdemeanor. Pretty sure you don’t get separated from your parents and get put into a cage for a misdemeanor.

If I get a speeding ticket in Sweden I broke the law even though I’m not a citizen there.

You still have to go through a countries due process if you break one of the countries laws. Wether it’s going into a country illegally or getting a speeding ticket. (both misdemeanors in the US)
