She tweeted a long note saying she "let you all down" and then replied with a picture of her standing at the edge of a tall building looking down. Scary stuff.

They need to get help to her.

You mean him
-
While I know that biologically she is a he, I respect everyone within reason. I don’t see the need to make it worse for someone who already is dealing with issues.
-
Get your traitors straight. Jesus.
-
Traitors, to a government that murders my people by the millions, are heroes. The only real patriots to the people, are traitors to the government.

Step in my yard and say that and I’ll show you real patriot

You know what it is, though? Proof that changing the sex God made you doesn't fix the problems you have in your head. God doesn't make mistakes. These people have mental issues that need to be addressed.
-
There is no such thing as changing gender. These attempts via butchery and toxicity simply harm the individual suffering from this mental disorder. So does the rest of us playing along with it.

Poor thing's been completely used up by people who don't care about her, they only care about how she can further their agenda.

The suicide rate among the transgender population – and takes a quantum leap up for those who have undergone surgery – is the highest of any sociological group, so this is completely NOT unexpected.
-
Actually the study you’re referencing compared trans people post surgery to cis people, not to trans people pre-surgery. No evidence surgery is causal.
-
I dont think the argument is that surgery is causal but rather that surgery has a minimal impact on improvement.
-
I’ve heard the latter argument made many times because the study is often mis-reported. The interpretation you’re sharing is worth discussing! The problem with it is that social acceptance is the main predictor of improved symptoms, and surgery/etc can help w social acceptance.
-
However the relationship is not a simple linear one — people who medically transition sometimes are more accepted by society/loved ones more, but not always, and even when they are, the trauma of being rejected previously lingers. So suicide doesn’t decline very quickly.
-
And for context, keep in mind that the same argument was advanced by antigay christians in the 90’s. Gay people used to have a massively high suicide rate. The problem wasn’t being out or being gay, it was a lack of social acceptance. antigay ppl claimed otherwise of course.
-
And the suicide rate for gay, lesbian, bi people is still a bit elevated above straight. When social acceptance changes, improvement is slow. You don’t just magically forget years of indoctrination saying you’re awful, even if now people are passably polite to you.
-
And the solution to the gay suicide rate wasn’t for them to repress being gay. Acceptance of trans people has so many clear parallels. And it will be years before most of us shake off the societal BS that got heaped on us. It’ll take time for the suicide rate to decline.
