1/ We have voted AGAINST @compoundfinance Proposal 63, a preliminary solution to the Compound exploit. We have voted FOR Proposal 64, a more robust solution that doesn’t break Compound integrations. Lastly, we plan to vote FOR Proposal 65, which will correct accrued COMP amounts.
2/ For Proposal 63, we believe that breaking Compound integrations isn’t the right approach, as it erodes trust in the protocol. Solutions to issues of this magnitude should be elegant, not brute. We expect if Proposal 64 passes, Proposal 63 will be cancelled in the timelock.
3/ Proposal 64 is a necessary panacea to the ongoing incorrect COMP distribution. While users will not temporarily be available to claim their COMP, they will still be able to accrue COMP.
4/ Finally, Proposal 65, when released, will correct the accrued COMP balances to their correct values. We support @tylerether's path forward on this proposal.
