Gaining or preserving? It’s perfectly fine for preservation,
-
I think for most people, its "perfectly fine" to use it & you won't realize a difference in muscle mass (whether you are gaining or losing) versus other methods. That doesnt mean its optimal, and for those aiming for optimal, it just doesnt mesh with best supporting muscle mass.

It's a cost/benefit analysis. Is IF OPTIMAL for increasing muscle mass? no. CAN you increase muscle mass while IF? yes. Is it worth losing the benefits of IF for the sake of optimal protein synthesis? That's just your opinion man.

I mean, you're not wrong IF is sub-optimal for muscle development. You have to eat more protein to compensate, but that doesn't necessarily mean you *can't* build muscle on a IF routine. Glad you're training and getting gains, Jake
