Which means we make mistakes, and we get tired, especially when we're stretched so tight. People claim personal choice, blah blah, when it comes to the #covidvaccine, but when it comes down to it, that personal choice is allowing for others to die and suffer.

Because we're out of beds and staff. We're a tiny town with an extremely low #vaccination rate and terribly high #COVID19 rate. One of the highest in my state. People deny it, deny the effectiveness of the #vaccine, until they're about to be intubated...

Why is it that 3,000 deaths on 9/11 can "unify" us, but 700,000 deaths in a pandemic, where so little is asked of us aside from masking and getting a vaccine, is a source of political polarization and hostility?

A colleague was getting yelled at by a patient’s wife in the ICU to try some untested treatment. “Every third grader in America knows you should treat COVID with ivermectin!” To which she calmly replied “that’s why we don’t let third graders practice medicine.”

Went to the grocery store and a woman told me "you have a lot of nerve being out today." I don't have a 9/11 story because I didn't live here then but I do get to deal with the racism created by it every single day, 20 years later.

My grandmother can’t have her knee replaced. Why? It’s “elective.” Why are elective surgeries cancelled? Because of unvaccinated people. I wish every unvaccinated person felt the never-ending pain she feels, bad enough it brings you to tears, and I wish that on you forever.
