    Thank you to News managers who hired professional security, reduced the number of reporters working by themselves, and put protocols in place to make crews safer on the streets. Let’s keep reevaluating those protocols to make sure safety always comes first.

    Our hearts were filled full yesterday when we met a Louisiana sheriff who read us a text message asking for his help. He then dispatched his men to do a welfare check on a 77yo man. What they found & what they did will give you all the feels. Watch:

    I think it's time for us to start a thread of local Louisiana journalists who will be staying in the state during the storm.... Here's the people I know of (besides me)...but please reply with your names so we can get a list going!

    Over the past month, case rates have increased, w/ vast majority of new cases among the unvaccinated. Most hospitalizations among unvaccinated too. If you or loved one is still in need of a vaccine, we encourage to visit a vaccine clinic this week.

    We need your help to convince and support the remaining 38,000 of friends, family and neighbors who haven’t gotten their vaccine, to get one. We have clinics happening every day, many of which are open to walk-ups. Let's cross the finish line together.

    I'm hopelessly stuck in Kabul with my wife and child. Like myself, hundreds of other journalists are also stuck here. I have an 11—months old daughter. Please pray for her safety.
