@BluejoWalton 's Thessaly series (The Just City, The Philosopher Kings, Necessity), is a speculative text almost entirely absorbed with the explicit question of how to educate children; it's tricky to say whether it's set in the "future", however, as it moves widely through time. -
Large time spans are great. Totally qualifies.

@Ada_Palmer 's Too Like the Lightning has future education systems as a major site of speculation. It's a little unfair giving that answer, though, since the book is SUCH a rich text across such a wide range of subjects; it's a safe bet for most questions of this type. -
