Watching the Super G skiing from #PyeongChang2018 . In a sport where the medals can be decided by .01s how come competitors have their hair flapping in the breeze, googles not flush with helmets etc?

I've always wondered this. I used to ski race when I was younger and as after becoming a cyclist and seeing everything we do for every millisecond of aero, I think there must be huge margin for gain in skiing... Like what about their boots? Buckles, straps, etc...
