@C_Althaus am I right that no Scientific Task Force brief refers to overdispersion/superspreading? how come? doesn't this impact many other aspects, like contact tracing?

This being said, if that is the only mention, it misses quite a few areas where superspreading is relevant to FOPH, all related to backward contact tracing: * TTIQ * SwissCovid design * SORMAS and data exchange btw cantons
I was aware of the Eurosurveillance paper hence why I was asking you.As far as I understand, backward contact tracing is typically not done anyways in Switzerland (and we can see the result). Not quite sure how it could be implemented in @SwissCovid and how it would affect SORMAS.

The problem is not quite SORMAS, but the Minimum Essential Dataset. AFAICT FOPH will only have data on individual cases, not infections (i.e. pairs of origin and victim). That means statistics will be heavily skewed by superspreading events.

I agree that as far as I can tell backward contact tracing is not done or done ad minima/as 2nd thought in Switzerland. That *is* a mistake, but how could you hope to correct this if there is no scientific hint of why to do it? And how, as it is not easy!
