Average Age deceased: 85 years old. And in bad health. These people would likely have died soon. Its a typical flu, not the plague.

Because we infer from the observed deaths backwards, the overall hospitalization rate actually does not matter. Critical number is number of hospitalizations and critical care per fatal outcome.
