NEJM and Lancet papers do a particularly bad job in providing real numbers, data, information about underlying distributions, etc.

These Journals have tight constraints on length of articles and what can be published. Also strong pressure to get things out quickly. Maybe authors would be happy to share, just didn't think about it at the time that this info was crucial for estimating Case Fatality elsewhere.

@NEJM, the authors werent able to publish the whole story? Rather sad representation of scientific communication if it was so.
