I'm usually the last person to criticise tone on Twitter, but do we really need to continue bullying this guy? There's been a real nastiness to it, from everyone, that I just don't see is proportionate at all, unless I'm missing some awful thing he's said/done.

You are. He’s spent his career using his positions of authority (Scholarly Kitchen, Science, SSP) to undermine progress in science communication. He’s not a harmless internet crank. He’s a bad actor who is (remarkably) still taken seriously by many.

Ah okay, there's a back story. I'd never heard of the guy and he doesn't have many followers on here - I just assumed he was some random chap with bad opinions. Still, I'm generally opposed to most internet pile-ons.
