Exactly! Kids go to school and are already on someone else’s schedule just like we are at work. Only difference is that kids go home and they’re STILL on someone else’s schedule and can’t really relax. Not everything has to be made into a lesson to prepare them for adulthood.
Usually parents who do that are just projecting their awful life onto their kids in disguise of “preparing them for reality” when it’s just “I want you to suffer like I did cuz someone made me do it, now it’s your turn”
Agreed. Parents also feel entitled to their children’s labor simply because they’re providing for them but like.... YOU made a choice to bring them into this world lol. They’re not indebted to you for being born
