I felt the same when they cast Tom Cruise in Valkyrie. I remember thinking why can’t they cast an actual nazi to play the role of nazi’s. I really feel they are under represented in the main stream media.

Representation matters not just on the screen but off the screen. So when you have a straight actor playing a gay character it cheapens it. It’s less authentic when the representation comes from a straight actor.
