You should get your facts straight. Drivers have always been able to see the destination when we pick up the passenger. It is our vehicle and we can refuse any person or any ride at any time. The only exception is for passengers with service dogs.

i love when a rider has a service dog for emotional stress.. i get to clean up all the hair on my time and dollar.. those rides are a lose lose for drivers..

If pay on short trips is worthwhile then drivers will take them. Ride share driving is a for-profit activity. If short trips need to be subsidized by someone don't expect it to be the drivers! Uber/lyft take MORE THAN 50% of revenue on shortest rides.

While deserving earnest scrutiny, rideshare is different. This is a bait and switch tactic, demonizing a fundamental driver right to control destination. UBER/Lyft consistently surge in these areas + consistent rides and many drivers LIVE in those areas.

If its a 10+mile ride with a decent surge i will do it. Fuck it even if it take me anywhere
