Makes good sense! Taxpayers are penalized financially and frequently for misconduct lawsuits

There are independent commissions and boards that publicly oversee professional licenses for doctors, plumbers, lawyers, electricians, lawyers, hair stylists/barbers, etc. Why not the police?

Just like statistics on guns in general (which are also prohibited by law), I think simply keeping accurate statistics on police violence would would horrify the general public into at least trying to do something about it.

I believe in unions but theirs seems to be intent on keeping police misconduct and violence a secret. They do need reminding that they get paid for by us and should live up to Protect and Serve.

And get rid of their unions. I’ve heard too many times the bad ones are too hard to get rid of. Zero tolerance.

They must be held accountable.

If I owned a company and I hired a security company to protect my employees, and then the security force started killing my employees, I'd fire the security company.

Damages won by citizens due to police brutality should be taken out of the police pension fund, affecting all cops in the department. Maybe taking cop money away would prompt cops to start policing cops. Probably not, though.

More people need to understand PD are employed at the pleasure of the taxpayer. If we demand change, then they need to understand that change will be swift and without disruptive actions by our employees of PD.

As a nurse if we commit any violation of our BRN standards it is public knowledge. Why are police not held to same standards? #PoliceBrutality #PoliceReform
