That's an urgent order of 348 copies of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child for the Commons Library then. (And let's recall it took until 2008 for the UK to lift its Article 22 reservation).

It is bitterly disappointing that after a victory in the Lords the government have voted down my amendment in the Commons. What could be more humane than asking that unaccompanied child refugees stranded in Europe be able to join relatives in this country?

Quick - your last chance to email your MP to ask them to give child refugees the right to reunite with their family! The Lords voted this down last night!

Important report out today on the separation of children. Time for government to take urgent action. Serious concerns raised about use of solitary confinement on children by UN Committee back in 2016 and UN Committee Against Torture called for ban last year.

Good to see Conservative peer Lord Farmer urging PM to press ahead with root and branch review of care system. It is vital that the review also takes the views and needs of care leavers into account.
