    On Saturday, representatives from the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society presented us with a check for $318k to be used towards helping bighorn sheep in CO. Thanks to their dedication to and enhancement of bighorn sheep populations in Colorado and throughout the west!

    We're sorry to report that the swim beach at Ridgway State PArk has been closed due to low water. The reservoir is dropping by 4"/day! The boat ramp remains open, and hand-launched craft are OK to launch Details:

    Back-burns on the 416 fire; things are going to get smokey again in Durango.

    Fire fighters on the 416 Fire will be conducting burnout operations over the next couple of days near the 171 road to reduce fuels, slow the fire and fortify fire lines. This might put some extra smoke in the air.

    This video from Colorado Springs shows a fawn that was unnecessarily picked up by a human. Leave baby wildlife alone!
