1. I think ...more than 1/2 deaths were in LTCs in Apr-May. 2. Plus younger people are getting infected now in late June 3. Much better Healthcare So Less Deaths.
Hopefully we've built a herd immunity to the more aggressive strains and that these strains going around now are basically an after shock. Wishful thinking, I know. And I'm not a Covid truther or "open up" advocate. Just wishing and hoping, for everyone's sake.
The peaks from week to week looks stalled. I expect the rise will now happen but hopefully not as extreme as positive tests.
I actually don't think this is that weird. I think we kind of might have killed a lot of people by putting them on ventilators as a first response. I think we're not doing that anymore and it's saving lives.
If deaths continue to drop amid case spikes, then it's likely it may be herd immunity but I still think we should be cautious and wear masks/wash hands/use hand sanitizers until we see cases dropped. We shall see what happens between now and mid-July.
