No. They gave us the 2nd amendment to act as THE final check and balance on government abuses of power. While I support the COS and article 5, without the 2A, the constitution would be nothing more than words on paper, no matter how many COS's we hold.
The Founders gave states the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by DC. Article V of the US Constitution authorizes the states to call a convention for proposing amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of Washington DC. #WeThePeople
