. How about working on repealing the 17th Amendment so that the Senators can function as a General Assembly of State Ambassadors who represent their governments rather than 100 Presidents representing all of the American people?
This is not a partisan issue. DC will never voluntarily relinquish meaningful power—no matter who is elected. The only rational conclusion is this: unless some political force outside of Washington, D.C., intervenes, the federal government will continue to bankrupt this nation.
