Mixed feelings about this. How to make sure it can't be hijacked by progressives / socialists? Best bet: make it focused on a single issue, the Balanced Budget Amendment.

Thanks for the video. Though anything passed by the Convention of States still has to be ratified by the states, the danger of a hijacked COS still exists. Sure, the states might not ratify socialist amendments, but socialists would still water down/mess up proposed amendments

But I am 100% in favor of COS happening. Don't get me wrong. I just think aggressively anticipating and trying to prevent any hijacking is paramount. Hence, focusing on 1 or 2 potential amendments might work. Balanced Budget=priority.

If not focused on 1-2 amendments as a precondition, then we'd face the general question: is it safe today to open up the Constitution itself to being debated and changed? In today's climate w tens of millions brainwashed socialists around, no.
