There is a difference between voting for something different because you've called on the baser instincts of human nature and voting from something because it calls to the best of your nature.

But what if I like record jobs, record wages, record consumer confidence, record stocks, the defeat of ISIS, a pacified NK? In other words, what if I like winning?

Pete is an underqualified white guy. In what way exactly does that defy the norm in primary politics?

He's been mayor of a small city for 6 years and has no other political qualifications. Nobody has ever gone directly from mayor to president, not even mayors of major cities. There's a good reason why.

I'll take the executive experience as a mayor over the legislative experience of a congressman or senator any day. That's not to say I don't like any senators like Sanders or Warren, I just don't think they're Senate experience prepared them anymore to be President.

Municipal executive work in a minor city and federal executive work are orders of magnitude different, and experience navigating Congress to get legislation passed is important for a president who wants a chance to get their agenda passed.
