In new CBS poll, 70 percent of Republicans think the economy is better off today than 4 years ago. In 2016 at this time unemployment was at 4.9% and GDP had grown 1.6%. Today unemployment is more than double at 10.2% and GDP plunged last quarter by worst-ever: 32.9%
